LET'S PRACTICE READING SKILLS!
Hi guys! Today we are going to practice reading skills. To do this, I leave you here a form with some questions related to a text, which also appears in the form.
The questions are divided into two sections. In the first section, you must say if some statements are true or false. You only need to click on the correct option.
Later, in the second section, you will find an exercise in which you need to look up several terms in the dictionary, and after, you must write a sentence with each word.
Here is the link, click on it! If you have a question, don't doubt ask me anything by email or in class, as you prefer.

Thank you for your comment and support Ana! I am very glad that you liked the activity.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I will update the blog by adding activities to work on the rest of the basic language skills and improving it little by little, due to I still have a lot to learn in managing a blog. It is worth knowing how to use this resource because it is very useful to collect resources or information of interest for our classes.
We will keep in contact!
Hi Maria,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I wanted to thank you because the way you presented the activity was so original. I have never seen a reading activity in this format before so, congratulations!
It's great to see that you thought of interactive and engaging activities for your students. The reading comprehension exercise you have described can be a really good way to practice reading skills and vocabulary.
I LOVED the use of the dictionary to look up for the definition of words. As you can see I'm definetly into teaching with ICT but I also think that is compulsory to know how to use this non-digital tool. Furthermore, I also think that writing sentences with this new vocabulary will help them to create a meaningful learning.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your comment, Daniel!
ReplyDeleteI am very happy to know that you liked the activity. As you say, ICTs are essential, but it is also necessary for students to be familiar with other materials or physical resources beyond technology.
It is necessary, of course, to know how to use an online dictionary, but we will not always have the internet available or an electronic tool at our disposal, so it is important to know how to use a physical dictionary. After all, with procedural knowledge.
Keep in contact!
Hello Mary, thank you for your comment! I'm glad you like the activity.
ReplyDeleteYou need to know that I have looked at your blog too and I like it so much! It's so original! The reading activity is great, for example, because the students can improve their reading skills while training their digital skills by using the ICT resource that you propose (it's a resource that I didn't know before, thank you for sharing it).
Thank you!
